VineView Adds To Calibration System For 2009 Season June 10, 2009 We've been using a spectrometer for several years to accurately calibrate our NDVI images, but we have just added a new instrument to our calibration system for 2009: a Labsphere. The Labsphere USS 1200 C is a uniform light source that lets us check the consistency of our multispectral cameras and lenses in-house, helping us make sure that you get the most accurate data. We'll have more details about our calibration system up on the website soon.
VineView Acquires New Airplane May 15, 2007 We have just completed the purchase, transfer, and fitting out of our new dedicated camera platform, a Cessna 182 Turbo Skylane. Click here to see a picture!
Oregon Wine Industry Symposium March 5-7, 2007 VineView will be attending the Oregon Wine Industry Symposium at the Eugene Hilton Hotel & Conference Center as an exhibitor at the trade show. You can find us at Booth #5, right next to the lobby bar. VineView Featured on The History Channel November 29, 2006 Our second primetime TV appearance premiered this evening on The History Channel, as part of the Modern Marvels program Wine. From the program summary: "imaging and infrared photography once used by NASA to map the moon is now employed by wineries to analyze soil, vine vigor, and even disease." That's us! We'll have a clip from the show up here soon. Google Earth Image Integration Now that we've got a little bit of free time (no more 18 hour days, anyway), we've gotten our Google Earth distribution just about ready to go. Next season, we'll be able to email you a small file which will open in Google Earth. You'll log on to your VineView account through Google Earth, and your VineView imagery will automatically download and overlay directly onto the Google Earth map. That sounds cool, tell me more! VineView in The Oregonian October 4, 2006 VineView was mentioned (albeit somewhat obliquely) in Wednesday's issue of The Oregonian, as the provider of multispectral imaging that only became available in Oregon as of this year. You can read the article about wine and science online: page 1, page 2, page 3. What a season! Harvest is in full swing in Napa valley, and here at VineView, we're still hard at work processing data! Already, we have lots of exciting projects in the works for next season. Check back for updates! ASEV Exhibition Wednesday June 28 - Thursday June 29, 2006 VineView will be an exhibitor at the American Society for Enology and Viticulture annual meeting at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, CA.
